Today’s conversation with a very good mate of mine here in Geneva opened my eyes to a deeper perspective on escapism and the influence of the spaces and people we turn to. It inspired today’s reflection on Deftmanship’s Writing on the Wall.
I grew up with adages — deep-rooted sayings from Yoruba and Benin cultures that shape our thinking and guide our choices. As the saying goes, “A word is enough for the wise.”
Today’s quote captures that wisdom:
“To know your worth is not arrogance, it is clearly wisdom.”
Knowing your worth means recognising your strengths, accepting your imperfections and refusing to let others define you. It is not arrogance; it is understanding that you deserve respect without constantly seeking validation.
💫 THIS IS WHAT DEFTMANSHIP IS ALL ABOUT.
Our events create space for women to pause, reflect, connect and grow — surrounded by meaningful conversations and people who inspire to become more intentional about the lives they want to lead
We all need that space. I KNOW I DO, and I believe YOU DO too! ❤️
So, make the time for yourself. Invest in your growth. Be intentional about your valuable growth.
📅 See you on 31 October!
With love,
Deftmanship 💫💫💫
