POV: The ceremony was meant to happen outside… and then the heavens opened. ☔️

Swiss weather can be unpredictable, even in the middle of summer. Sometimes the weather gods simply have other plans! As much as we all dream of saying “I do” under blue skies, having a solid Plan B is essential. Not only for your guests’ comfort, but also because rain and technical equipment are not the best of friends, and beautiful floral arrangements don’t enjoy a downpour either.

That’s why I always work with my couples to think through every scenario in advance. From backup locations to making sure there’s enough support on site to move everything quickly if needed.

Because when the weather changes, you shouldn’t have to worry: You just focus on getting married! 💕

Beim Lesen der Fragebögen von Miriam und Nico musste ich so oft einfach nur laut loslachen. Die hatten die Fragen auf so lustige Weise beantwortet, mit so viel Witz und Charme (und erst die Wortwahl!), sodass ich mir einfach komplett lebhaft vorstellen konnte, wie die beiden sich kennengelernt hatten, was sie aneinander schätzen und was sie ausmacht.

Bevor ich überhaupt auch nur einen Satz einer Hochzeitszeremonie schreibe, schicke ich dem Hochzeitspaar einen Fragebogen. Ich hole all ihre Wünsche ab und wir vereinbaren ein Planungsgespräch, um ihre Zeremonie zu strukturieren und zu planen.

Genau das liebe ich an meinem Job so sehr, dass ich so tief in die Leben anderer Menschen eintauchen und diese Menschen so gut kennenlernen darf, damit ich danach ihre Geschichte so erzählen kann, als würde ich sie schon ewig kennen. Miri und Nico, eure Trauung werde ich nie vergessen!

I used to think the best jobs were the ones I dreamed about as a kid.

Turns out, I get to live one of them.

Not because I wear nice clothes and spend my weekends at beautiful venues. Not because I get a front row seat to incredible celebrations.

But because couples trust me with their story.

I get invited into conversations about how they met, what nearly broke them, what made them stay, what they admire in each other and what they hope their future will look like.

For a little while, I become the keeper of those stories.

Then comes the privilege of standing in front of everyone they love and turning all those memories, inside jokes, adventures and quiet moments into a ceremony that feels unmistakably theirs.

It’s a huge responsibility, and one I never take lightly.

Every wedding reminds me that love stories are rarely perfect, often unexpected, sometimes hilarious, and always worth telling.

And honestly, I still think it’s pretty cool that I get to do this for a living. 💕
