"The vanity of the ruling class in Venice is depicted in the rich and vibrant outfits used in this Opera...The flowers embroidered on the costumes are metaphors for the characters they adorn. The flowers that, for now, bloom, but will wither in time."

In Atelier Peter George d'Angelino Tap, opera director, couturier and set designer we are working on all the costumes for the opera singers and the choir and we are building the set and props and making al the tapestries with punch work and beats and knit work to get the story of Verdi's 'I due Foscari' as Peter George d'Angelino Tap interpreted and visioned.
Looking very much forward to the end result!

Based in Utrecht, Nimeto is a creative trade school. It is a renowned, autonomous, small-scale vocational school working with experienced craftspeople to shape our world. To shape the spaces in which we live, work and relax we need conscious and creative people who know what they do in the fields of business of design, styling and creative techniques.

At our Set and Exhibition Building course, students learn to design and build exhibition stands and sets for fairs, events and on-stage productions. These can be either small and simple or large and complex. During the course, they practice their skills with real commisions from external clients.

One of these was the "I Due Foscari" stage and décor. We very much enjoyed working on this, and we hope you can admire our craftmanship.

Opera St. Moritz startet in die 20. Jubiläumssaison!
Öffentliche Einladung zum „Warm-up“ Anlass im Maloja Palace
Samstag, 23. März 2019 um 18.00 Uhr
Präsentation der Oper „I due Foscari“ von Giuseppe Verdi, welche im Maloja Palace vom 29. Juni – 6. Juli 2019 über die Bühne geht.
Programm:
18.00 Uhr: Regisseur D’Angelino Tap wird in die Oper einführen und seine Ideen über Regie, Kostüme und Bühne erklären. Dazu werden Sopranistin Eva Fiechter (Lucrezia), Bariton Riccardo di Francesco (Francesco Foscari) und der Opera St. Moritz Chor Stücke aus der Oper präsentieren. Begleitet durch unsere Dirigentin Olga Pavlu am Klavier.
19.00 Uhr: Apéro
Eintritt frei. Freiwilliger Unkostenbeitrag willkommen.
