Valiant Forum Winner Murten classics 2023 Sarah Strohm: Congratulations to 1st Prize at the Geneva Music Competition!

Brian Isaacs (25, USA) and Sarah Strohm (20, Switzerland) have just been awarded First Prize ex aequo in the Viola Competition! Ayaka Taniguchi (23, Japan) received Second Prize.

Many congratulations to them! 👏🏻 🎉

After three intense semi-finals and one fantastic final round with the conducted by Cornelius Meister in the Victoria Hall, we proudly conclude this year’s edition of the Concours de Genève Viola Competition!

Huge congratulations to Brian Isaacs, Sarah Strohm, and Ayaka Taniguchi - our three finalists of the 2025 Viola Competition! 🎻

They will perform in the Final Round with the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, conducted by Cornelius Meister, on Wednesday, November 12, at 7:00 PM at Geneva's Victoria Hall.

👏 Bravo to all semi-finalists for their beautiful performances, it’s been a true pleasure hearing you throughout this round!

79th CONCOURS DE GENÈVE: VIOLA SEMI-FINALISTS

Congratulations to all the candidates for their performances during this last week! 🎉The jury has announced the 8 candidates who will be moving forward to the semi-final round of the Viola Competition 2025:

- Eric Seohyun Moon, 28 years old
- Sarah Strohm, 20 years old
- Ayaka Taniguchi, 23 years old
- Wassili Wohlgemuth, 24 years old
- Kinga Wojdalska, 26 years old
- Alessandra Yang, 21 years old
- Emad Zolfaghari, 21 years old

For the upcoming semi-final round (6 to 9 November), which will be held at the Franz Liszt Hall in Geneva, participants will have to present a Solo Recital, a Chamber Music round and a personal artistic project.
