Hailed as one of gospel music’s great creative forces, the Detroit-born songwriter, producer and music director has penned hits like “Take It Back,” named by BMI as the most‑performed gospel song of 2010 , and “Hang On,” which reached No. 1 on the Billboard charts . For over three decades he has worked with legends such as The Clark Sisters, Bishop Paul S. Morton, Andraé Crouch and Donnie McClurkin , earning Grammy, Dove and Stellar Award nominations and receiving an honorary Doctorate of Sacred Music . During The Gospel Week, he will lead an intensive workshop on Groove, Space and Timing in American Gospel Music along with an introductory composition masterclass.
