„Start from yourself. From your organs, your whole body, then the social environment, streets, cities—everything your mind can understand, human-made or natural, constructive or destructive, working only for some’s benefit or aimlessly drifting—all are systems within systems.
Systems are made for their function, each important and valid while they serve change. Growth is inevitable; it’s not a system but greater than that. Its meaning cannot be understood by thought, and therefore any system, ultimately locked in its limitations, is destined to fail. There is no system to hold on to! If you pursue this diligently enough, realizing with clear resistance that all concepts will dissolve only to mutate into the next one, you acknowledge that all systems fail.“
This EP is the fusion of poet Ulaş Ekim Toprak and electronic producer Julia Häller, aka Chewlie. Heavy on bass and poetry, this piece is a debut statement of the project Streikthrough. „All Systems Fail“ is an elegy that illuminates the failure of all systems of separation, identity, exploitation, authority, and oppression!
STREIKTHROUGH is a collaborative sound and performance project by producer and DJ Chewlie and poet Ulaş Ekim Toprak, both based in Switzerland. Driven by a shared desire to blend bass-heavy, ethereal electronic music with thought-provoking poetry, the project transforms contemporary political phenomena into a sonic experience. By blurring the boundaries between rhythm and atmosphere in electronica and club music, while evoking the power of spoken word, STREIKTROUGH ventures into unexplored territory, harnessing the strengths of both artistic disciplines.
