Sorry… I lied. 😂

These are my honest wedding opinions after working in the wedding rental world. Some might be unpopular, but I stand by them

🤍 yes, I keep saying my trailer is full while somehow buying more wedding décor. 🤦🏼‍♀️Side note if anyone finds a good seacan or dryvan on marketplace, don't be shy send it to me lol
🤍 I'd rather see couples feed each other cake than smash it everywhere, she spent all that money on professional makeup don't ruin it for her before the night is over!
🤍 I love weddings...but I'm rooting for the marriage a whole lot more
🤍 I'd rather see mismatched bridesmaid dresses than everyone wearing something they hate...
🤍 I think the garter toss trend can stay in 2008 🙈 Just something about doing that in front of literally everyone you know really gives me the ick

Gold star behavior, in my opinion ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

After setting up and renting décor for Saskatchewan weddings, I've noticed the little things that make wedding planning so much smoother. It's never about having the biggest budget or the trendiest Pinterest board...it’s about planning a wedding that actually feels like you.

My gold stars go to the brides who:
⭐book early, cause there's nothing more disappointing than finding out your date is already taken...
⭐leave reviews!! this helps out a small business more than you'll ever know
⭐have a weather backup plan, cause let's be honest prairie weather is SO unpredictable
⭐send the deposit...its the only way to lock in your date. I do go in order of inquiries, but if you don't pay the deposit we will move on down the list
⭐remember the marriage that comes after is more important than the wedding itself

Four years later, these are the things I'd change. Not because my wedding wasn't amazing but hindsight is always 20/20 right! The wedding day is fun and all but I strongly believe it matters a lot more WHO you are marrying and the actual partnership you're going to be building with that person.

If you're planning your wedding, take what helps and ignore the rest. Every wedding is different and everyone is going to throw a lot of strong opinions at you lol. Do what you want and ignore the rest.
