Feeling all the feels 😢

This past winter, I lost all my dahlias to freezing. It was a tough hit—both financially and emotionally. It was my mistake, and I was really hard on myself for a while. But I’m choosing to move forward and find something positive in it. I promised myself I’d rebuild slowly and intentionally, creating a more mindful collection of tubers.

Over the winter, I started fresh with a few purchases from my favorite farms, and .

What I didn’t expect was the incredible support from my friends and community. Whether it was tubers gifted for my birthday or people sharing extras they had, it made such a difference.

A special thank you to Michelle at for so generously sharing some of her extra tubers. Moments like this remind me how grateful I am for the people who support me and this dream.

Now, I’m planting over 150 tubers and cuttings this spring—which feels pretty amazing considering I was starting from scratch.

I can’t wait to share the blooms with you in a few months 🌸

As tulip season comes to a close here at The Bright Garden, I’ve been taking a moment to soak in just how special these past weeks have been. These photos capture some of the blooms we were lucky enough to grow this year—each one a small reminder of the beauty that comes from patience, care, and a little bit of spring magic.

To everyone who purchased tulips or received them through our subscription program—thank you. Your support means more than I can fully put into words. Knowing these flowers found their way into your homes, celebrations, and everyday moments is what makes all of this worthwhile.

Tulips may be saying goodbye for now, but the garden is just getting started. Up next: new varieties, fresh colors, and the next chapter of the growing season. I can’t wait to share what’s coming 🌿
