As a wedding planner, I’ve heard it all, especially the “I wish we had…” moments.

Here are 4 of the most common regrets couples share after the big day and a few gentle reminders to help you avoid them:

1. Skipping a first look or private moment
Your wedding day moves fast. Many couples wish they had carved out intentional time together, whether it’s a first look, a quiet moment post-ceremony, or just a breath before the reception starts.

2. Not eating (or staying hydrated)
Between hair, makeup, photos, and guests, eating often falls off the radar. Prioritize food and water, it’s a long day, and you’ll feel (and look!) better with proper fuel.

3. Not hiring a planner or day-of coordinator
This one hits home. So many couples say they underestimated how much support they’d actually need. You deserve to be fully present, not worried about timelines, vendors, or logistics.

4. Overplanning the timeline
Every minute doesn’t need to be scheduled. Build in breathing room for running behind, soaking it all in, or simply being present. Flexibility = peace of mind.
