Juletrefest is theme of NCC-hosted brunch this Sunday
The Norwegian Canadian Club will say goodbye to Christmas and hello to 2026, as hosts of the Scandinavian Centre’s Sunday brunch on Jan. 4.
We'll celebrate Juletrefest, which allows children of all ages to attend a final "Christmas Tree Party." Around noon, we'll have a short program to sing Jultid songs in Norwegian and in English, as accompanied by pianist Coralie Bryant. Then, to greet a new year of SCC programming, we'll hold a free draw for two tickets for subsequent Sunday Brunches.
Brunch runs from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Prices are $25.00 for adults [new price], $10.00 for children ages 8-12, and free for kids, ages 7 and under. You can pay at the door by cash, card, or cheque.
Make reservations by noon, Friday, Jan. 2, by emailing [email protected]
Please include date of brunch, your name, phone number, number of adults/children attending, and estimated time of arrival.

Norwegian Friday Lunches resume Jan. 9
We’ll have the soup pot back on Jan. 9, when we restart our weekly Friday Lunches upstairs at the Centre. Lunches run from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. For a set price of $10.00 (cash at door), you receive two open-faced sandwiches, a cup or homemade soup, dessert, a spot of coleslaw, and all the coffee you can humanly hold.
No reservations are required unless you are coming with a group of four or more; then you need to contact Janet at [email protected] by the Wednesday before.
