Brittany McKay is the owner of SnapFox Photo Booth, an Indigenous-owned business dedicated to creating fun, memorable, and meaningful experiences. Brittany is Cree and a member of Gods Lake First Nation and grew up between Wabowden and Gimli, Manitoba. Her roots are a big part of who she is and what she brings to her business.

As an Indigenous entrepreneur, Brittany is passionate about creating spaces where people feel welcomed, celebrated, and connected. Through SnapFox Photo Booth, she incorporates creativity, community, and culture into her work

✨ Meet Indigenous Entrepreneur Shyla Niemi of Giigido Mikinaak at our 3rd Annual Niña Waṡte BBQ: Indigenous Entrepreneur Showcase! 🐢✨

Shyla Niemi is a Turtle Clan Anishinaabekwe with family from Kiashke Zaaging Anishinaabek. Driven by a passion for language and cultural reconnection, she founded Giigido Mikinaak to create games and tools that help people learn Anishinaabemowin!

Her first product, Ataage Agindaasonan, is a card game with built-in audio from a fluent speaker, so people can play and learn without a teacher in the room. It’s been sold to families, schools, and community programs since launch! ✨✨

We encourage everyone to come down, meet Shyla, support her business, and experience firsthand the amazing work she’s doing to help keep our languages thriving! Shyla is also generously donating some of the card games as door prizes for our event! Pidamaya ye Shyla, for your kindness and generosity! 🤩✨
