Seven years ago, we had an idea: create a monthly party dedicated to and curated around music we love (mostly vinyl, painstakingly collected over many years) that isn’t always represented in nightclub settings and deserves to be played loud and proud. 🎶📣

We’ve been blessed with a beautiful extended community that show up on to help create the Bodega Boogie vibe we throw down every month. There are too many people to mention, but you all know who you are. Thank you, Bodega fam. 💜

Celebrate Bodega Boogie’s 7th anniversary this Friday, June 5, with us at by going back to our roots with an all-vinyl night and welcoming guest DJ for his Bodega debut.

Last month when playing/selling at a record sale, I casually met JD Robertson during a brief conversation about music. He was looking for some house records (Moodymann, Theo Parrish, etc) and also inquired if the Keni Burke 12” I played earlier was for sale. It was not – but instantly knew he had the Bodega Vibe. 🎶

Chatting a bit more, I discovered JD is also a vinyl DJ. Being relatively new to Winnipeg, he was looking for spots to play that matched his style and I knew just the party 😎

Really looking forward to having him join the Bodega Family as we celebrate seven years of the best in disco, house, boogie and everything in between. ✨

Originally from Ontario, JD Robertson fell in love with house music living in Asia in the mid 2000s. He has been part of the scene ever since.

Whether it be throwing the Live From Kaohsiung parties in Taiwan, djing the Deep parties in Dalian, China, or more recently djing the Deep Dark Night parties in Owen Sound, ON, he brings endless energy with his mix of original disco, nu disco edits, and house.

JD is exited to dive deep into his record collection and dust off some of his Brazilian boogie and disco for Bodega Boogie. 💃🏽

Shout out & thanks to for keeping the vibes on high all night long… and saving the night. As it turned out, we ended up doing an impromptu all vinyl night due to some (self-induced) technical issues. 🤦🏻‍♂️
