Fun fact! One of the top questions I get is:
“Can you get our marriage license for us?” or "Is it included in the price?"

I wish I could! But in Ontario, only the people getting married are allowed to apply for it. It’s a government thing — they want to make sure you’re really you and not two raccoons in a trench coat.

Once you pick it up, you just bring it to me on the wedding day and we’re good to go!

I always explain it like this:
Asking your officiant to get your marriage license is kind of like asking the car salesperson to go get your driver’s license for you.
If only it worked that way! 😅💍
