Thanks to mother nature we have been dealt a devastating blow. Yesterday in the early morning during the wind and snow storm our barn roof decided to collapse. This barn was used to house our petting zoo animals aswell as others. Our "insurance" company is basically trying to screw us saying they won't cover any of the removal and/or rebuild. Due to covid we have had all of our contracts cancelled last year and so far this year aswell making it extremely difficult to finance a rebuild let alone removal of the old barn. Our good friend has set up a gofundme campaign to help us try to recover.

It has been a while since we have made a post so here we go!!! All of us from the Big Country Critters family hope everyone is staying safe during these trying times. Unfortunately we had to cancel all of last years events and this years season is still in question. We have had alot of supportive messages as we continue to make sure all of the animals have everything they need to be safe and sound until we can start our visits again. We have had a couple of followers suggest doing an Adopt an animal program to help cover our costs of maintaining our family (animals).

We are looking for feedback as to if this is something everyone would like to see us do? There are many animals to choose from. All animals would remain on our farm but photos/videos and updates would be given during this program.

We are super excited to announce that we will be attending a wonderful charity event for Denise House at Harley G's clothing store in oshawa tomorrow Aug 4th. We will be bring lots of animals including goats, lambs, sheep, alpacas plus more. We will be selling treat cones for $1 each aswell as this year we have expanded into pony rides. So we will be doing pony rides for $5 proceeds from both treat cones and pony rides will be donated to Denise house. All of our animals are excited to see everyone tomorrow to raise money for this excellent organization

We are excited to announce that we will be at the lindsay square mall this coming Sunday (july 14th) for trent pets customer appreciation day. Come out and join us in many fun filled activities including our petting zoo from 12 - 4pm, rabbit show from 12 - 4pm and Zoo to you from 1-3pm. FREE hotdogs and hamburgers for everyone in attendance aswell trent pet will be collecting donations for the heart and stroke foundation in memory of a close friend and big supporter of trent pet.

Come out for a great day and free giveaways aswell. We look forward to seeing everyone there

Saturday is quickly approaching. The big easter extravaganza will be here in no time!!! We are pleased to announce the we will be running a name contest at this wonderful event to pick names for our baby farm animals. Tickets will be $1 each and we will have baby goats, lambs, rabbits and a mini pig all of whom need names.

All proceeds from this contest will be donated to help with wonderful family!!!!
