One of my favourite things about morning elopements is how quiet and intimate they feel.

Standing beside a river with the mountains all around, before the trails fill up and the day gets busy, there’s this sense that the whole place belongs to just the two of you.

Mountains, water, and forest. No audience. Just a beautiful place, a meaningful moment, and the start of a new chapter together.

A Canadian girl who made her home in North Carolina… and a North Carolina boy who made his home in her heart.

Still buzzing from this helicopter elopement at Marriage Lake — it was the first snowfall of the year in the peaks above us, fresh alpine air, and a couple who brought all the joy with them.

Mount Currie watching over us and photographer capturing every bit of the magic.

We were back up there yesterday and it’s full-on winter now — wild how fast the mountains turn.
