What’s so right about markets…

* Markets are the third spaces we desperately need to stay connected.

* Shopping in your community, instead of alone at home, puts money back into local pockets and gives you a chance to hug your friends and high five new ones.

* Your “supporting local” practice becomes real, visible and felt.

* Just by showing up, you are making someone’s day.

* When you connect, compliment, or purchase from a local maker, you are making even more people’s day.
Every gift you buy comes with a memory, a moment from the market, something you learned about the maker, or a small story that adds value to what you share.

* Each purchase gives twice, once to your recipient and once to the artist who created it.

* Being together with friends, makers, and neighbours is a gift to yourself.

* Breaking the monotony is part of what keeps us human, and stretching our wings beyond the comfort of home brings us together in spaces where we can share in joy.

Please support local as much as you can this season. A share, a like, or telling your friends are all incredible ways to lift up your community, even beyond financial support.

In a world that pulls us inward, markets gently pull us back to each other...and we think that’s pretty great!

What’s right markets…

• Markets are the third spaces we desperately need to stay connected.

• Shopping in your community, instead of alone at home, puts money back into local pockets and gives you a chance to hug your friends and high five new ones.

• Your “supporting local” practice becomes real, visible and felt.

• Just by showing up, you are making someone’s day.

• When you connect, compliment, or purchase from a local maker, you are making even more people’s day.

• Going home after a busy market run feels extra sweet. You sink into the couch like, “PHEW,” and that relief only exists because you left the house in the first place.

• Every gift you buy comes with a memory, a moment from the market, something you learned about the maker, or a small story that adds value to what you share.

• Each purchase gives twice, once to your recipient and once to the artist who created it.

• Being together with friends, makers, and neighbours is a gift to yourself. Breaking the monotony is part of what keeps us human.

In a world that pulls us inward, markets gently pull us back to each other…and we think that’s pretty great!

MEET THE MEMBERS: Aubyn Frebe-Smith, day-one KWENCH-er, long-time friend of Tessa, loyal gym regular.

His favourite spot? The library — cozy, light-filled, and always inviting.

Aubyn’s been part of the KWENCH story since the very beginning — he even helped assemble the kitchen you might catch him cooking in these days.

When he’s not at KWENCH, he’s home being a super-dad to two lucky kiddos.
