Celebrate the height of summer in Victoria at the Canada Dry Victoria Dragon Boat Festival presented by Fairway Market! Each August, we bring our community together in the Inner Harbour with dragon boat races, cultural demonstrations, live music, food trucks, local vendors, and more.

Sign up for special walking tours led by renowned local historical John Adams: Searching for Dragons in Chinatown will take visitors around Canada's oldest Chinatown to spot dragons, to learn about dragon lore, and uncover the area's fascinating history.

Looking to learn to paddle dragon boat in Victoria, but don't know where to get started? We've teamed up with VI Paddling on their Learn to Paddle program! Starting May 25, and running once a week on Mondays at 5:30 PM, you'll get a chance to meet new friends and learn to paddle. Then, you'll get to hit the start line and race with your new team at the 2026 Canada Dry Victoria Dragon Boat Festival presented by Fairway Market in the Inner Harbour on June 20! ☀️

📅 Practices: Monday May 25; June 1, 8, and 15 at 5:30pm. (Gorge Waterway at Craigflower Road and Styles Street)
🏁 Race Day: Saturday, June 20 (Inner Harbour)
🛒 Registration Fee: $155

In case you missed it, our 2026 is June 20, as a different event will take over the Inner Harbour on our typical August date- but we're ready to welcome the first weekend of summer with energy and exciting races (and, Canada Dry)! 🥤🐉 ☀️

What a week: we announced our official date on Tuesday, and we're already at almost 20 teams registered! 🥳 It looks like teams can't wait to hit the water again- and we can't wait to see you join in on the fun on the water.

🚨 Big news: this year's Festival races will be held on on Saturday June 20! Be part of the first weekend of summer in the Inner Harbour!

We recognize our announcement is coming out much later than usual. We were told in late 2025 of a conflicting major event in the Inner Harbour that had been already approved for our typical August dates. From there, we worked with key public and private partners, and on behind the scenes logistics to redesign the entire Festival. We expect to return to our normal August dates in 2027, as the conflicting major event is a one-time only event.
