DJ Carolyn - Carolyn Gebbie I'm a West Coast Swing DJ who lives in Victoria, BC. I love putting together fun playlists for the weekly BC Swing Dance Club Victoria dances!

I also DJ for the Victoria West Coast Swing Collective and other venues on Vancouver Island and the Mainland. I've been dancing West Coast Swing since the summer of 2016, along with my husband Bob. I was initially a follower but now I'm primarily a leader. I started DJ'ing in August of 2017, with some 30 minute segments during the weekly Saturday night WCS social dance, plus one or two times a month at the Victoria WCS Collective practices. As the weeks/months went on I was asked to play longer and longer segments of the Saturday weekly dances. When BC Swing Dance Club Victoria took over the weekly Saturday night lesson and dance, in April of 2019, I was able to DJ every week for the entire evening - heaven! I spend lots of hours each week listening to playlists from many different sources around the world to find new, fun, recognizable or unusual songs to incorporate into my playlists. Nothing makes me happier than seeing a roomful of dancers thoroughly enjoying the music that I'm playing!!
