Seventeen days ago, Elly & Daniel said “I do.”

The only thing that didn’t show up to celebrate? Mother Nature.

Over 50 mm of rain. Strong winds. Umbrellas flying. Dresses being protected. Hair being fought for. It was one of those wedding days where the weather seemed determined to have its own plans.

Elly had always dreamed of creating beautiful portraits on the grounds of the stunning Manor. But as the rain poured down and the wind whipped around us, we found ourselves tucked beneath an overhang trying to make the best of the day.

At one point, with tears in her eyes, Elly looked at me and asked if I would be willing to come back another day to photograph them.

She didn’t even finish the sentence before I jumped in.

“YES. YES. YES.”

Fast forward 17 days.

Today, we returned.

They got dressed together at the Manor. They helped each other get ready. There was no timeline to chase, no guests waiting, no pressure. Just two people completely in love.

And what happened next was pure magic.

The calm. The laughter. The romance. The freedom to create without rushing.

The photos we made today were everything Elly had dreamed of and more.

A huge thank you to the Diane for opening your doors and making this possible. Your kindness and hospitality do not go unnoticed.

Sometimes the best wedding photos aren’t created on the wedding day.

Some people think a wedding is about one moment.

The walk down the aisle.
The first kiss.
The first dance.

But the truth is, it’s everything in between.

It’s the guitar played quietly while getting ready.
The deep breath before putting on the dress.
The tears nobody planned for.
The way two people look at each other when they forget the camera is there.

Those are the moments that become memories.

Today Aurora was welcomed into a lifetime of faith, family, and blessings.

Watching generations gather around one little girl is a reminder that the most beautiful celebrations aren’t always the biggest ones.

Quiet smiles.
Wind in their hair.
Barefoot moments by the water.
The kind of connection that doesn’t need much direction — just space to be.

Somewhere between stolen glances, playful selfies, and the calm of the lake… these two reminded us that love doesn’t always have to be grand to be unforgettable.

Two doves overlooking Chantal & Joseph’s ceremony on Saturday… 🕊️🤍

Maybe coincidence.
Maybe not.

One thing we’ve learned after witnessing so many weddings is this:

Love has a way of showing up.

For some couples, a wedding day carries two emotions at once — overwhelming joy… and the quiet ache of missing someone who should be there.

A parent.
A grandparent.
A best friend.
Someone whose seat may be empty, but whose presence still feels impossibly close.

And somehow… there are often signs.

A butterfly.
A song at the perfect moment.
A feather.
A breeze that feels different.
Or two doves sitting quietly above the ceremony, almost as if they came to watch too.

We’re not here to tell you what to believe.
But after years of weddings, we’ve learned this:

Sometimes you just have to look.

The ring is sparkling, the champagne is chilling, and suddenly everything feels a little more magical.

Some brides glow…
and some brides absolutely light up the room. 🤍

This was one of those moments.
Pure joy. Pure excitement. Pure “I can’t believe this is real” energy.

And honestly?
That smile says it all ✨

Some love stories are loud.
Theirs was quiet, intentional, and felt in every in-between moment.

Before the ceremony, they chose a first touch instead of a first look… standing back to back, reading their vows through tears, laughter, shaky breaths, and smiles they couldn’t hold back. 🤍

And somehow the entire day felt exactly like that moment — soft, cinematic, emotional, and deeply real.

From the timeless architecture, to the black & white frames that feel straight out of a film, to the way they looked at each other like home… this wedding reminded us that the strongest kind of love doesn’t need to perform. It simply exists.
