🍫 Weather is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get.
Not sure if all you GenZers know the quote, but did that ever prove true for this day!
I always leave room for a backup date in case of bad weather. There are certain situations where we can’t use that, such as booking the boathouse at Braies, or having specific reservations elsewhere.
In this case with A+K, we did have a bit of a reservation that we had to abide by. The weather wasn’t looking too promising, but we bit our tongues and watched as the day got closer and closer. Often in the mountains, the forecast says bad things, but it doesn’t turn out that bad; I was really hoping for one of those days! You truly never know what you’re gonna get; weather reports are loose guidelines.
🌞 We lucked out, and as sunset was approaching at their hotel Hotel La Perla, Corvara, we started to get some beautiful light peeking through the clouds. K went down on the knee, asked A the eternal question, and she said yes!
Afterwards, we went up to Passo Gardena for a photo session and got to see the remainder of the sunset from up high.
They spent their time in the Dolomites on an organized biking and hiking trip. I think with all the peaks they climbed, this dive into a new chapter of their love was the grandest journey they embarked on (too cheesy? 🧀 😝)
