Indie-folk/pop artist FONTINE is making waves. A q***r and indigenous musician of Nehiyaw Iskwew heritage, her latest single "Good Buddy" was just listed to CBC's 3 Songs to Boost Your Playlist. Called "an upbeat jam reminiscent of 90s alternative rock, complete with semi-distorted guitars and an infectious chorus," FONTINE's music is a fusion of culture and creativity.

Named a "Band to Watch" by Stereogum, Deerlady is comprised of artists Mali Obomsawin and Magdalena Abrego, bonded in the language of experimentation.

Their debut album Greatest Hits is a journey through songs penned by Obomsawin that explore decay and delicate moments – cradled by Abrego’s worldbuilding and evocative guitar playing.

An award winning bassist, songwriter and composer from Odanak First Nation, Mali Obomsawin's 2022 debut Sweet Tooth received international acclaim and was named “best of the year” from GRAMMY.com to JazzTimes and NPR.

Magdalena Abrego is a guitarist, composer, and teaching artist. Influenced by free jazz and punk, Magdalena’s approach to her instrument playfully confronts tradition and embraces q***r experimentalism. Her compositions have been described as both “blissful and beautifully erratic” (Boston Compass), and NPR Music called her guitar tone “wooden, ancient and thick with mystic fuzz.”
