We’re in Peterborough, Ontario, and found one of the coolest pieces of engineering we’ve seen on this trip — the Peterborough Lift Lock.

It basically lifts entire boats almost 20 metres between different levels of the Trent-Severn Waterway, and it’s actually the world’s highest hydraulic lift lock. Pretty wild to watch in person.

This journey was never just about coffee and entrepreneurship — it’s also about discovering how beautiful, interesting, and unique Canada really is.

Day 66 of 90 crossing Canada on the Coffee Bike 🇨🇦☕️

The day in Gatineau was pretty slow, and I didn’t really want to end it like that 😂

So I decided to try something a little different — become the first person to cross from one Canadian province to another on a Coffee Bike.

We parked the car in Quebec, rode across the bridge, and a few minutes later we were in Ottawa, Ontario.

Quebec ➡️ Ontario on a Coffee Bike.

Pretty cool if you ask me.

A couple of our recent clips got a lot of different opinions… and definitely some hate too 😅

At the end of the day, I’m a small business owner, and yes — a big part of this adventure is marketing. I’ve always believed that even negative attention can still bring the right people to your content.

But just to be clear: the intention of this trip, and of these clips, is not to make anyone look good or bad. We’re simply documenting the real journey, exactly as it happens — including some of the negotiations and situations we face as entrepreneurs.

We’ve been operating Coffee Bikes since 2017, fully licensed and health approved, and our setup meets the health requirements we work under across Canada. The reality of this trip is that we often don’t even know exactly where we’ll be tomorrow, and going through a months-long permit process for one hour of filming/service in every city simply isn’t realistic.

Anyway… here’s a lighter clip to dilute some of the tension from the last few posts 😂

The thumbnail says “Halifax Security almost caught me”… but as you can see, the actual security officer is my one-year-old daughter chasing me and laughing 😂❤️ So yes, a little satire is allowed too.

Peace everyone ✌🏻 Stay happy, spread some positivity, and if you disagree with something, say it respectfully and be ready for a two-way conversation.

And if the only thing you have to bring is negativity… just keep scrolling 🙌🏻

I personally don’t lose sleep over random comments, but remember that someone else might. Your words can genuinely affect another person’s motivation, mood, or journey.

More positivity. Less hate. ☕🚲❤️

Day 65 of 90 crossing Canada on the Coffee Bike 🇨🇦☕️

At this point, I’m starting to think we might be the first people in the world to cross from one province to another on a Coffee Bike… so maybe it’s time to look into a Guinness World Record 😂

We parked the car in Gatineau, Quebec, rode the Coffee Bike across the bridge into Ottawa, Ontario, found a good local crowd, served some coffee, and had a few great conversations along the way.

Exactly the kind of random adventure this trip is all about.

Here’s the opposite side of the permit/licensing discussion.

Local authority came by, checked what we were doing, understood that we weren’t setting up a long-term business or planning to stay, wished us good luck, and moved on. No drama, no unnecessary conflict.

And to be clear — I fully support proper permits and licensing for established businesses. That’s exactly how we’ve operated in Vancouver for years.

But when we’re crossing Canada with no fixed route, stopping somewhere briefly to make content, meet locals, serve a few coffees, and showcase the Coffee Bike, I personally believe common sense can sometimes matter more than bureaucracy.

Not everyone has to agree with that, and that’s fine. We’re not trying to please everyone.

The bigger goal is to show Canada, connect with people, promote entrepreneurship, and hopefully inspire someone to try something new in their life.

Honestly, I’m not even sure I can pick a winner anymore. Both spots were a little different, but equally amazing — so for now, they’re sharing the #1 spot 😂

Day 64 of 90 crossing Canada on the Coffee Bike 🇨🇦☕️

Still in Gatineau, Quebec. The city was pretty quiet in the morning, so we decided to explore a little and ended up finding Bobino Bagel.

Amazing bagels, great people, and I even got to meet the owner. Now we’re in touch about potentially building one — or maybe even a few — custom Coffee Bagel Bikes for their brand.

Funny how one random stop can turn into a real business opportunity.

Another little Halifax frustration moment 😅

As you saw in the last video, I talked things through with security and we agreed we’d stay for one hour.

Exactly one hour later, as promised, we closed everything and I went to grab dinner.

While I was just sitting there with the Coffee Bike parked beside me, the same security lady came back with another guard and suddenly started talking about trespassing.

At that point I wasn’t selling anything, serving anything, or even operating the bike — I was literally waiting for food.

Halifax itself was amazing and the people were great, but this particular interaction definitely felt like a bit of a power trip.
