STOP. Before you book your South Asian wedding planner, ask these 3 questions. 👀

Because a beautiful wedding is not the same thing as a well-planned wedding. South Asian weddings come with layers.

Multiple ceremonies.
Multiple vendors.
Multiple timelines.
Two families.
Cultural traditions.
And a guest list that somehow keeps growing. 😂

So before you hire a planner, ask:

1. Do they understand your culture?
Your planner should know the difference between an Anand Karaj, Hindu ceremony, Jaggo, Sangeet, and reception.

You shouldn’t have to explain every tradition while also planning your wedding.

2. Do they have experience managing multiple events?
Your wedding may not be one day.

It may be three, four, or even more events. Ask how they manage timelines, vendor communication, family logistics, setup and transitions between each celebration.

3. Do they have availability for YOU?
This one matters more than couples realize. A planner with 30 weddings on their calendar may technically be “available.”

But will they have the time to know your vision? To answer your questions? To catch the details you didn’t even know needed catching?

That’s why I intentionally take on a limited number of weddings each year. Because I don’t want to simply coordinate your wedding. I want to know your story. Understand your traditions. Protect your guest experience and make sure you can actually enjoy the moments you spent so long planning.
