I share mine in hopes that you might feel free to share yours. Life isn't always pretty - it doesn't always go as planned. There is, however, healing for your brokenness, rest for your weariness, joy for your mourning, and praise for your heaviness. He makes ALL THINGS new!

I feel like I’m in a Sweet Spot in life and I don’t want that realization to pass me by. It was only a year ago I had the revelation that I was living/striving for a life I didn’t have. Since then, I’ve truly been enjoying every moment. Life is good and I am so very blessed.

I’d also like to acknowledge something that’s been on my heart to share. Not sure if anyone will read this far - but I have avoided posting anything political or opinions of the world intentionally. One of the reasons if that I’ve been on both ends of the spectrum on most topics - AND THAT’S OKAY! I’ve questioned, learned & made my own decisions about life. I’m glad I’ve made the ones I have, but it was a journey to get there.

News flash: when it all comes down to it, we ALL WANT THE SAME THINGS. We all want to be healthy, happy, safe, and want some sense of our ‘old lives’ back. So I beg of you, stop hating on everyone else that has different opinions on how things should be right now. Stop calling others names. Stop assuming everyone who is considering alternatives ‘anti-Vax’. Stop assuming everyone who is following the crowd is brain washed or ‘giving in’.

Stop judging. We all want to get there - and believe it or not - there might be more than one way to do that. Have grace for people on the ‘other side’ - let people ask questions without jumping all over them. Respect other people’s decisions. Okay - thanks for coming to my . Life is good. That’s all.

This moment - posted August 15th 2020, 34 kms into 42 - is when perspective hit. To this day, I can’t think of it without getting emotional.

Today is .

The furthest I’ve run or walked at once has probably been less than 15km, so 4 times around Stanley Park was a doozy. It was this moment when I realized why I was doing it. It was this moment I realized that the physical pain I was experiencing was minuscule to the pain a trafficking victim experiences constantly.

There is good news - and that’s that we can make a difference.

I partner with and as I’m able - and participate in the with when I can. There are many other organizations as well. I encourage you today to think about this issue with some real weight because it is a real thing. I also encourage you, however you are able, to join initiatives around you.

If you’re like me and it feels too big to even know where to start, reach out to and they can help. You can also start planning to join me for in 2021.

What is your breaking point?

What would it take for you to do that thing you know you should be doing? Turning to God, praying, meditating, reaching out to a friend, mending that relationship, investing more into your marriage, writing that thing...

Is it waiting for the world to get worse? Losing a loved one? Is it a mental breakdown or the end of that relationship?

Are you waiting until it’s too late? Until the damage is irreparable? Until the work to backtrack will be much more difficult than just doing the work now to avoid ruin?

This is very much a message to myself right now, but I thought I’d share it. I’ve been challenged on my prayer life this week - and enjoying starting the year with ’s focus on prayer. I want to begin before it’s too late.

Do that thing today. Don’t get to a point where you’d say ‘I wish I had started that earlier.’

“I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.”

I reached out to a group of my friends yesterday to check in - and we learned that none of us are alone in this struggle. Our world is weird right now and finding/holding onto our purpose is difficult. But know that you’re in good company. If you feel lonely or unmotivated, reach out to a friend and ask for a boost. DM me if needed! We’re all in this together.

I’ve been living for a life I don’t have. I didn’t know I was holding on to things I should have let go of with all the rest of the past pain. But I realized yesterday that I’ve been looking through a lens of what I don’t have - what was taken from me.

It was a rude awakening. If I’m not careful, the life I have now might pass me by.

I understand now that it isn’t a one time choice. It is a daily battle - a battle to accept my season, see the many incredible blessings around me, and OWN my life. The truth? My life is pretty awesome right now and I am very grateful.

You are right where you are meant to be. Even though injustices, mistakes, wrong turns, or hiccups have occurred - you are meant to be where you are. And from this exact place, you can still change the world.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

When I first opened the cover of this book, I cried. Seeing something my kindred has created was breath taking. Being given the image of one day reading this book to my children is a gift. My Sister has breathed life into my soul more than few times reminding me of the promises over my life. This was one of those moments.

This book will no doubt become a go-to bedtime story across the globe. It will infuse hope into the adults who read it to the kids - and produce a beautiful understanding in little ones of the adventure of knowing His name - THE name of Jesus.

It is officially launch day - and I could not be more proud of for what they have produced together (which is so much more than this book). Thank you all for being faithful to the things God lays on your heart and using your gifts to bring it to the rest of the World.

Spot the lynx 🔎

caught this guy out of the corner of her eye. Glad she did so we didn’t become...I mean ruin...his dinner. It made our pretty grueling climb up even more worth it. Thankful for this opportunity to explore my own backyard.
