Tonight! Two of Canada's greatest guitarists team up for one night only.

Jocelyn is a Juno Award winner, and known for her work with Bria Skonberg, the Ostara Project and Freddy Cole. She's arguably Canada's best known Jazz guitarist and tours both the US & Canada constantly.

Itamar has toured all over the world as a guitarist, composer & pianist, and is known for seamlessly fusing Jazz with various Middle Eastern musical genres.

What character have you always wanted to be—if nobody was judging?

This Halloween, Viet Vibe Foundation (VVF) invites Vancouver to Halloween Music Night 2026 – The Hidden Character, a fun and casual community night where music, costumes and self-expression come together.

This isn’t meant to be a formal concert. The main goal is simply to have fun, meet people, sing together, dress up and give everyone a space to show a different side of themselves.

Guests can enjoy live performances from local artists, join the open mic, show off their Halloween costumes, meet new people, take photos, explore event activities, or just grab a seat and enjoy the atmosphere.

Performers are encouraged to incorporate costumes and personality into their performances, and the audience will help choose the evening’s Most Impressive Performance/Costume, with a $100 gift card prize.

You absolutely do not need to perform to attend. Whether you come to sing, dress up, support a friend, meet people, or simply enjoy a Halloween night out, everyone is welcome. Tickets are available at vietvibe.org.

Are you looking for a relaxing creative outlet that's easy to learn? On Thursday, November 12th from 1:00pm to 3:00pm, join Corinne Sanderson for an Introduction to Rug Hooking: Mindfulness through Making!

Explore your inner creativity—and discover a meaningful chance to recharge—through the simple, relaxing, meditative, and rhythmic art of rug hooking. The rhythmic pulling of loops induces a therapeutic, flow-like state that can lower cortisol levels and grant deep cognitive rest. It is incredibly easy to learn (featuring only one stitch) and has "no mistakes" (loops pull right out).

In this introductory course you will learn the basics of rug hooking, including a brief history of the craft and foundational techniques to successfully begin a small rug project. The goal of this introductory class is to teach students the basics of rug hooking and inspire you to discover your own unique creativity in a communal and supportive setting.

Essential equipment and material is prepared and provided by the instructor. The total fees, tax & materials included, are $78.

✨This fall, the Community Arts Council of Vancouver (CACV) is proud to present the 10th Annual Vancouver Outsider Arts Festival (VOAF).

🎨In collaboration with the CACV, and as part of VOAF, Connection Salon presents the Satellite Exhibition. The exhibition will be held from October 16 to November 29 at the Gathering Place, 609 Helmcken St, Vancouver, and will feature artworks by 10 artists.
