Dive out from under the smoke and flames to cool murky depths. A bubbling kiss from a merperson lets your lungs breathe the turquoise waters as you descend deeper through the kelp forests where the selkies sleep and dream. Sound waves ripple through the brine. You’re close. Your limbs, your fins pulse to the watery beat. You arrive. Welcome to Q***r as Merfolk.
This year’s colors are: ultramarine, algae, transparent turquoise, seaweed, sunken gold and sea foam.
Dress as you are inspired to. Themes of underwater, be it lake, sea, river or swamp. Be the mercreature of your dreams or nightmares. Or just wear something that makes you feel affirmed. Costumes encouraged, not required.
