As 2024 comes to end, I wanted to share that I have made the decision to say goodbye to Events by Sarah Megan. This business has been a labour of love over the past 7 years.

I want to thank all of my wonderful clients that I have worked with over the past 7 years. It was truly an honour and a privilege to be apart of such a special day in your lives.

I also want to thank all of the amazing vendors I have had the pleasure of working with.

To all my current clients, not to worry as nothing changes for you. I am still here for you throughout the wedding planning process. This just means that I will not be taking on any new clients.

With a mixture of emotions, I am excited to see what 2025 has in store. Wishing everyone a very Happy New Year!

If the pandemic taught us anything in the wedding industry, you need to be ready to pivot at a moments notice. Whether you have a family emergency or someone gets sick and you need to postpone, trying to reach out to all your guests and vendors will take time.

Planning a wedding on a private property can mean juggling a lot more than if you are getting married a venue. You are dealing with more vendors coming in - all your rentals, tent, washrooms, catering, and more. On your wedding day, you don't want to worry about whether or not all your vendors have arrived on time, have the correct products, and set-up correctly. That is for us, as your wedding planner to take care of.

We want you to enjoy the morning with your loved ones and not have the added stress.

You are a new wedding planner and have your first clients wedding coming up. You are starting to feel the nerves and unsure how you will keep a cool head. Know you are not the only one. I certainly had huge nerves for my first clients wedding.

The key is prep. Make sure you are as detailed as possible. Maybe your clients mentioned a detail about the day that they don't think is important but wanted you to know just in case. Mark it down. Maybe it is something to do with a timing of a song, food allergy, delivery of an item, whatever it is, I believe it is important to mark it down so you remember on the wedding day.

Wedding days are long. It is so important for you to keep hydrated and eat. When you are feeling 'hangry' and dehydrated, it will be hard for you to look after your clients to your full potential if you are not taking care of yourself first.

Planning a wedding takes a lot of time. Trying to find the right vendors for your wedding can take you down a black hole very quickly by doing google searches. At Events by Sarah Megan, we take away that stress and the feeling of the never ending black hole by doing the research for you.

We present you with 3-4 options per vendor category based on your budget and style. We go through this process until your entire vendor team is booked.

Planning a wedding on your own can be like working another full time job. You have to research all your potential vendors - Venue, DJ, Photography, Videography, Rentals and more. Why not have someone do that for you?

At Events by Sarah Megan, we take the stress out of finding your vendors so you don't have to go down that black hole Googling all those options. We come up with the best 2-4 options that suit your needs and budget and present them to you. If you like one or two of them, we set up meetings with those vendors, and then you decide which one you want to go with and that contract gets signed (all vendors should have contracts).

We continue this process until all your vendors are booked. This frees up your time so you can enjoy everything else that goes into being engaged.

Finding your forever dancing partner means dancing even in the rain.I highly recommend working with your photographer on finding time to do some sunset, or this case, rain photos later on the evening. There is always something so magical about how those photos turn out.
