Twenty Ever After 🥂 Cara and David made their 20th wedding anniversary memorable. They dressed up, re-read their original wedding vows to each other, cut the cake, and took some fun portraits with their 13-year-old, Freddie. It was such a pleasure to get to know them and hear about some of the most memorable moments from their wedding day. Coincidentally, Cara and David's twentieth anniversary landed almost exactly on my own tenth wedding anniversary, so I was already feeling nostalgic that day. Congratulations Cara & David for 20 years, and beautiful family. 🥂 Here's to the next 20. Cheers!

The beautiful thing about relationships is that they come in all different shapes, sizes, colours, quantities and orientations and we still clearly recognize it simply as love. Kayla, Amanda and Dylan joined together in a polyamorous throuple many years ago and decided to celebrate their devotion to each other in a beautiful backyard commitment ceremony this summer. Though not a legal wedding, it had all the magic and romance of one. It was such an honour to capture all of the connection, joy and love. And love, after all, doesn't have to look one particular way to be unmistakable.

Some couples are so undeniably perfect for each other, you barely have to spend any time with them before you see exactly why they found each other. Steff & Dan are like that. Their engagement session in October proved it. I can't wait to photograph their wedding next month. 😍

It feels almost like all of the magical moments of the day progressively get added to the piggy bank more and more by the hour... and then, you step outside for a quiet moment with your shiny new spouse and... all of the magic explodes out of the piggy bank. The world looks extra beautiful as you recount your favourite moments of the day, like...
..when you can't hold in the big feelings.

That feeling of connection, as you emotionally prepare yourselves for the day ahead.

The expressions of pure joy you share together.

Genuine laughter with your spouse-to-be.
.. and with your wedding crew.

When wedding party photos feels more like connection than modeling.

When things get real...
.. like, really real.

You finally get to marry your person.

And announce to the world exactly what they mean to you.

And walk away, a married couple.

That "we just did that!" feeling.

A bride covered in insects?! Honestly it wasn't in my bingo card, but man was it a cool thing to photograph! Brianna was loving getting to meet some "cute" (in her words) creatures before her wedding at . David wasn't quite as keen on the critters but was a good sport through the whole encounter.

​Not certain this will be the hot new wedding trend, but Brianna & David’s "insect encounter" is easily a new favourite wedding first for me. Talk about a bride who is truly in her element!
