It wasn’t the music that first captured Patrick Kelly’s attention as he surveyed the packed dance floor moving to the rhythmic sounds of Doc Martin back in 1996, it was how the music affected the people listening. Controlling and manipulating a dance floor soon became an obsession. Patrick’s early career was spent collecting vinyl from any genre that peaked his interest. From Drum & Bass, and Breaks, to Down tempo, and Tech, there was never enough to satiate him. As time passed Patrick Kelly focused on the rhythmic patterns known as House Music. You will never hear Patrick Kelly play the same set (or often the same mix) twice, preferring to let his instincts guide him. Patrick’s mixes are built around all things deep, with the bassline the catalyst to all of his sets. He has had 2 of his mixes featured on Beatport after reaching number 1 on the Beatport DJ charts. His seamless mixing between Deep, Tribal, and Tech House, combined with his signature long mixes, have opened people's eyes to Patrick Kelly’s unique style. A regular in Vancouver’s Intimate Productions lineup, and more recently teaming with Seattle’s highly acclaimed label Viva Recordings, he has had the privilege to play alongside the likes Booka Shade, DJ T, Halo Vargas, Alex E, and Pillow Talk, to name just a few. On top of being a long time player in Vancouver's underground club and party scene, Patrick’s passion for higher quality music, events, and promoting music through local artists have lead him into promotions and event organizing. Patrick is the resident and founder of the weekly FINE Deep House event series, on the board of directors for Spectrum Events Group (a group focused on bridging the gap of LGBTQ+ and straight communities through music and events), and he is the Director and co-Founder of the Festivus Music Festival (FMF), an outdoor event in its 13th year. Bringing a unique and exclusive feel to the festival circuit, Festivus has quickly gained notoriety as one of the best small festivals on the west coast.
