A Few Good Tunes To Party To!!!

13/11/2025

Was booked to play Canadian Tire Christmas party. Person who booked me stopped working there just recently. Another person took over committee. They went and booked music without checking to see if someone was already booked. They called today and canceled. I never charged the upfront 25% non refundable deposit cause it’s a company. Figured it was safe and no need to. I’m now out $400, or at least $100, cause someone couldn’t do a little checking first.
I’ve had a couple bookings canceled before. One told me they weren’t having it, but I found out by accident they had their event after using another source.
This is why I reluctantly decided to go the route of 25% non refundable deposit. I was losing money. Sometimes people cancel due to legit circumstances. At least I’d be covered partially. I feel my price is reasonable.
I’m told my music is really good. I’m told I do a good job.
After this coming year, that may be it. Maybe sooner. We’ll see what the future holds?
