I have no words because this sweet friend and customer says it all 🩷 I woke up this morning with this (slightly edited) note in my inbox.

This is another (of a lot of examples) of your kindness and how you make the world a better place and stand in as a comforting touch-stone. How many people would allow customers to walk off with food like you did for me, yesterday, trusting me to do an eTransfer later? Life can be overwhelming and too much to juggle but you make it feel easier just to flow in the cluttered day. You are like the food nurse!
I know a few single women who also really value what your food brings to our tables beyond the great taste and real ingredients . I think having someone cook for us is especially wonderful because it hits an emotional part of our lives and not just the physical. It is like giving a feeling of home. You are a calm, safe place in a fast world. We don’t have partners or a large family that pulls together to give a sense of comfort and nourishment the way you do, literally. A friend who doesn’t cook much and is managing so much with family and business and your food eases the pressure. My other single friend who is living with a medical condition is now starting to buy your meals weekly, now that her hands hurt too much to cut up ingredients. She was so worried about how to get by without her son being around and now she is grateful to have you as a sort of life-line of how she gets through the week. I hope you have people treating you as well as you treat us.

Overwhelmed doesn’t begin to explain my feelings on this note. It never ever occurred to me that I might have this impact on a few lovely humans in my life 🥹
