What does it mean to say that everyone is created in God’s image and fully loved by God?

This Sunday, that conviction will be truly visible as we celebrate Trenton United becoming an Affirming Congregation. This is a joyful moment, but also a commitment to keep making our welcome public, intentional, and explicit.

In Exodus, God tells Moses, “I have heard their cry.” God’s compassion leads toward action today too, especially when Two-Spirit and LGBTQIA+ people continue to experience discrimination, violence, and exclusion here in Canada and around the world.

Our worship will invite us not only to celebrate, but to listen, learn, and pray about where love might lead us next.

Join us Sunday at 10:00 a.m. in the Middle Auditorium for an interactive worship service, as Joyce Payne presents our official Affirming certificate, and refreshments and fellowship will follow.

This Sunday, Exodus is going to the movies.
We begin with the ancient tale of a baby placed in a basket among the reeds. Then we’ll see what happens when that story passes through the imaginations of Hollywood filmmakers, from The Ten Commandments to The Prince of Egypt.

Let’s explore the ways that we bring our own experiences, questions, and hopes to scripture, and ask the question: are we spectators of God’s story, or actors in it?

Every voice sounds a little different. Some are loud, some quiet, some confident, some still finding the courage to speak. And somehow, when our different voices come together, they can create something none of us could make alone.

This Sunday, our worship will be full of voices, and even a few quirky ways of warming them up as we journey through Matthew 15. Come bring your voice, your questions, and your listening heart as we worship together at 10 a.m. in the Middle Auditorium, and as we welcome special guest musician, Shirley Porter.

We had an awesome TUC field trip to The Quinte West Community Gardens yesterday, where we were welcomed by an amazing leadership team. They helped us learn about the gardens and we had a chance to help with some summer harvesting. Thanks so much to our hosts, and thank you to all our volunteers!

This Sunday we welcome back Rev Isaac from vacation. This week we will celebrate the creativity that God weaves into our lives as we consider how skills, technologies, and everyday work can serve Christ’s love.
