We had an amazing time in Vernon last week working with a fun group for a bowling Banquet. Delicious food, our fresh home made Famous BBQ sauce, crispy BBQ chicken, Roast beef, salads, sides, desserts and more....

That's a wrap! Our time with the 2026 BC Winter Games has come to an end. Sad to see it go, but a rest would be amazing.... incredible amount of time over the year as we planned and organized for the big day. I created a menu, re drafted a few times and planned to every inch of the games, Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Breakfast and dinner organized by me and lunch organized by Deb Melnik, menu costed, planned and.prepared, worked with logistics to order the equipment, worked with the great team at the Trail Memorial Center aka (the TMC) to rebuild and design their kitchen, and worked with amazing Volunteers, friends and family throughout the games over the week. We are welcomed with becoming the 2026 winter games alumni.

We had our last breakfast this morning...thanks to No Frills for some amazing muffins, 2,000 of them to be exact..incredible donation!

Great first night, dinner kicked off with rice, stir fry veg and chicken, fresh garden salad, and delicious strawberry shortcake.

Great first day, everything is in, kitchen is almost set up, food is ready to be prepared!
Tomorrow all our incredible volunteers arrive and we get started... lets Get cooking!!. BIG MIKE'S is happy to be apart of this event and honored to be leading a great department and serving all our athletes!
