St. Peter’s Basilica was absolutely my favourite part of the Vatican. ❤️

The moment I walked inside… WOW. The sheer size, beauty and incredible detail are almost impossible to describe. The magnificent dome, marble, sculptures, and centuries of history surrounding you are simply breathtaking. And what really stood out was the brightness of the artwork — the way the light reflects off the gold accents, frescoes, and intricate details makes everything feel almost glowing and alive.

There was something about being inside the Basilica that really stayed with me. It felt incredibly beautiful, powerful and inspiring. ❤️✨ The artwork seemed to shine even more as the light moved through the space, highlighting every detail in such a stunning way.

And then walking out into St. Peter’s Square — another amazing sight! Standing there surrounded by the incredible architecture and taking in the view of the Basilica was unforgettable.

Of everything we experienced at the Vatican, St. Peter’s Basilica and St. Peter’s Square were definitely the highlight for me.

One of those places you really have to experience in person. 🇮🇹❤️

And we’re off to Venice! ❤️

Taking the bullet train from Rome to Venice and travelling at almost 300 km/h! 😳🚄💨

I have to say, this is such a great way to travel through Italy — fast, comfortable and you get to sit back, relax and watch the Italian countryside fly by, especially after touring the Vatican all morning!🇮🇹✨

One minute we’re exploring the history and incredible sights of Rome… and a few hours later we’ll be arriving in magical Venice! 🛶❤️

Almost 300 km/h — now THIS is the way to travel! 😂🚄

🇻🇦✨ THE VATICAN — WHAT AN EXPERIENCE! ✨🇮🇹

Another incredible day exploring Rome! The Vatican is absolutely breathtaking — the history, artwork, architecture and incredible detail everywhere you look are truly something to see. ❤️

But I’m going to keep it real… it was CRAZY busy and HOT! 🥵 So many people, lots of walking, lots of stairs, and very little opportunity to stop and rest.

Definitely something to keep in mind when planning a visit — the Vatican may be challenging for anyone with mobility issues or who has difficulty with stairs, long periods of walking, heat, or large crowds.

That being said, seeing the Vatican and the magnificent Sistine Chapel in person was an unforgettable experience. 🇻🇦✨

What a cool time to explore the Spanish Steps and the beautiful streets surrounding Piazza di Spagna. ❤️

A storm was moving in, and the changing sky created the most incredible backdrop — dark clouds, dramatic light and some seriously amazing photos! 📸⛈️

There’s something about Rome around every corner — beautiful architecture, charming streets, fountains, cafés and so much history. And sometimes, Mother Nature decides to make the pictures even better. 😍

A little storm just added to the magic of Rome and cooled us off!🇮🇹✨

Busy day in Rome! 🇮🇹☀️

We also made it to the incredible Colosseum today — and WOW, Rome was showing us the heat! 🥵🔥 It hit a scorching 40°C, but it was absolutely worth it!

Walking through the Colosseum, I couldn’t help but imagine what life was like here nearly 2,000 years ago. Gladiators — many enslaved people or prisoners of war, while others volunteered — trained to fight in front of enormous crowds. ⚔️ Some became incredibly skilled and famous, gaining loyal fans much like the sporting heroes of today.

Our guide from Italian Tours was AMAZING! ❤️ Having such a knowledgeable guide really brought the history to life. Hearing the stories of the gladiators and learning what actually happened inside these walls made the whole experience so much more meaningful.

Standing there looking down into the arena and imagining the thousands of spectators who once filled the Colosseum was incredible.

40°C, thousands of steps and a LOT of water later… 😂🥵 — what an amazing day!

Rome, you are exhausting me… but I’m loving every minute! 🇮🇹❤️

There are some places you’ve seen in pictures a hundred times, but nothing compares to actually standing there. ❤️

Nearly 2,000 years of history, incredible architecture, and that famous opening to the sky above — absolutely breathtaking.

I felt so inspired by this building — the beauty, the history, the incredible design and the thought of everything these walls have witnessed over the centuries. There is something truly powerful about being here. ✨
