From prison to purpose.

I had the honor of sitting down with Marlene from Vegan Nation 91.3FM to talk about my journey—from the moment I gave up meat and dairy for my health, to building 5 Principles Cuisines, a vegan catering service rooted in wellness and transformation.

We also got into how incarceration led me to write letters to my daughter—letters that became the foundation for the three books I’ve now published.

I opened up about building 5 Principles Cleaning, my commercial cleaning company, and stepping into my passion as a cinematographer—all born out of necessity when doors closed on me because of my criminal record.

This interview is about resilience, reinvention, and creating opportunities when none are given.

Excited to Announce!

I’m honored to be a panelist at the upcoming Black History Month Celebration hosted by Dixie Bloor Neighbourhood Centre (DBNC) on Thursday, February 13, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Mississauga Valley Community Centre.

This year’s theme, “Black Resistance: Celebrating Black Identity and Overcoming Barriers,” is all about fostering meaningful dialogue around equity, inclusion, and social justice. I’m looking forward to sharing my journey navigating the criminal justice system and discussing the importance of leadership, advocacy, and action in empowering our communities.

I’ll also have copies of my two books, 27thletters (Revised Version) and The Timekeeper of Justice, available for purchase. These works dive deep into personal growth, resilience, and justice, and I’m excited to share them with you all.

Come out, engage in important conversations, and connect with an amazing community. Let’s make this event one to remember!
