Trust us, you do not want the first time everyone figures out where to stand to be during the actual ceremony. 😂🤍 That’s exactly why we rehearse!
Some frequently asked questions!
1. Is it the same as the rehearsal dinner?
NOPE. The rehearsal is the walk through and the dinner is the meal after to celebrate with those who came to the rehearsal.
2. Can’t we just tell them where to stand and how to walk on the day?
Well…. You probably want to avoid that stress and with so many time sensitive things happening on the day, you don’t want to worry about it whether everyone knows what they’re doing 10 minutes before the ceremony.
3. What exactly happens?
Your officiant or planner (🙋🏻♀️) guide you through who goes first, second, third etc. down the aisle according to the music you’ve chosen and where they stand/sit once they get to the front. And then similarly when the ceremony ends, how they walk back. And typically, a quick run through of everything in between.
4. Who needs to be there?
We usually say everyone who is involved in the ceremony itself (if they’re walking down, doing readings, giving you away, and so forth) but if one or two bridal party members can’t make it, then it can always be filmed and sent along!
5. When does this usually happen?
Ideally within the week before the wedding so nobody forgets anything! (But that’s also what the video is for!)
6. And how long does it usually take?
If everyone is punctual, it should take no more than 30 minutes.
7. What should I wear?
Nothing over the top is needed but this is also a great time to wear in your shoes!
