My heart is full today 💕

Stella came into FLOX with her lovely daughter Michelle, and it was one of those visits that stays with you long after the flowers are put away.

At 93, Stella is sharp as a whip, curious, funny, and completely herself. She came by as part of her outing for the day and, true to form, was thinking of others—ordering flowers for friends she cares about. And having their addresses and phone numbers memorized!

I loved watching Stella and Michelle together, taking their time in the shop, chatting among the flowers and enjoying each other’s company. It was so special.

As a florist, I get to work with flowers every day, but it’s people like Stella who remind me what they’re really for: connection, kindness, friendship, and letting someone know they’re loved.

Thank you, Stella and Michelle, for spending part of your day with me. You brought so much joy into the shop today, and I feel grateful for moments like these. May you continue to be blessed.

A few weeks ago, one of our longtime clients came in with a very special request: a vision to create something natural, unique, sculptural and different for a memorial service of a loving family member. This was the result, we created a "little nest". It may be strange to say, but we sincerely love what we do and the trust in the community to make and build something significant. So on this snowy Toronto day, we remain so grateful to our East End friends and family.
