✨ Are you passionate about event management and looking for an exciting opportunity to make a difference? Join our vibrant and dynamic Cathedral team as an Events Manager!

✨ We are searching for an Events Manager to oversee the stewardship of our Cathedral and Cathedral Centre facilities, promoting the use of our facilities for both Cathedral ministries and external clients. You'll manage events, bring Arts events to the Cathedral, and work closely with our Canon Missioner and Executive Director to support our mission and financial goals.

Twice this August we had the fantastic team catering helping out with our weekly drop-in luncheon. They went above and beyond and our volunteers were blown away by their dedication, patience and understanding. Plus their food was awesome!! Obviously!! Everything they brought was made by their chefs in their kitchen. We look forward to many more events together!

We are delighted to welcome Claudia Habib who has joined the Cathedral team as the Event Manager.

Claudia Habib has lived and breathed events for 20 years. As owner of Simply Weddings, a business she started in 2003 to assist couples ease the stress of planning their weddings, she has planned hundreds of weddings ranging from two people to 450 people. Her career in corporate events began in 2008 where she worked for a destination management company in the meetings and conventions sector, assisting groups large and small enjoy their time in Halifax.

She won the best Event Planner award in 2015 from Meeting Professionals International. She was also the President of MPI in 2018-2019. That year also brought a new career challenge, as Event Producer for the Glow Gardens Christmas Light Festival, which hosted over 92,000 attendees over the course of six weeks during the holiday season.

Her most recent role was the Venue Manager of the Cedar Event Centre in Halifax.

She is excited to bring her considerable experience in events to St. James Cathedral Centre Event Venue and make Toronto her new home.
