One thing we’ve learned after years of planning weddings? The best celebrations don’t come together overnight.

They start with a conversation.

A conversation about how you want your wedding to feel, the experience you want to create for your guests and the details that matter most to you. From there, we build a plan, curate the right vendor team and bring your vision to life one thoughtful decision at a time.

With 2027 inquiries starting to come in, we’re feeling excited for the next season ahead. There is something so special about being at the very beginning of the journey and helping couples create a celebration that feels authentically theirs from start to finish.

If you’re newly engaged and planning for 2027, we’d love to hear your story. ✨

The details always matter. The candlelight, the layering of textures, the way a room feels before guests even take their seats. But one of our favourite parts of this job will always be seeing our couples walk into the room for the first time and watching everything become real for them.

There’s so much intention behind every wedding day we create at SJ Soirée. The design meetings, mockups, revisions, vendor collaboration, production schedules and all the tiny decisions that quietly shape the overall experience.

And honestly, we cannot wait for more of these moments.

SJ Soirée officially kicks off our summer 2026 wedding season this weekend and we are so ready for the beautiful celebrations ahead. ✨

Amber chose to honour Pauly’s Sikh heritage on their wedding day and we are still not over it. 🤍

The intricacy of her lehenga. The weight of the red dupatta. The mehndi on her hands. The choora stacked at her wrists. Every detail chosen with intention, every tradition embraced with such genuine love and respect for a culture that was not the one she grew up in.

This is what fusion weddings look like when they are done beautifully. Not a costume, not an aesthetic - a true and heartfelt honouring of who your partner is and where they come from.

Getting ready moments like these are some of our favourites to witness. Quiet, sacred, full of meaning. And then that bridal party shot outside the Aga Khan Museum is pure joy.

Now booking a limited number of full-service weddings for 2027. If you are planning a cultural or fusion celebration, we would love to connect. The link to inquire is in our bio. ✨

A planner tip for grooms.

One thing I see often is couples spending months thinking about one partner’s outfit, while the other partner’s suit or tux becomes a last-minute decision.

Your look should complement the aesthetic of the wedding and help set the tone for the entire celebration.

If you’re starting the suit search this season, it helps to go somewhere that offers a wide range of styles, fits and colours so the entire wedding party can coordinate easily.

I recently visited to explore their Event Shop and see the options available for couples beginning that process.

And yes… everyone walking down the aisle deserves to feel confident in what they’re wearing. ✨

Grooms are getting more involved in wedding planning and honestly, we love to see it.

Over the past few years I’ve noticed grooms showing up to planning meetings with opinions. They care about the guest experience, the timeline, the design and yes… what they’re wearing.

I recently stopped by to check out their Tuxedo Shop and see what options are available for couples starting their suit or tux search, this is a great place to begin.

From different fits and styles, it makes coordinating the groom and wedding party much easier.

And as someone planning my own wedding right now, I can confirm the groom deserves to feel just as confident walking down the aisle too.

If you’re getting married this year and starting the suit search, this is a great place to begin. ✨

To the ones who zip up the dress, hold your hand through the ceremony and cry the happiest tears in the front row. 🤍

Happy Mother’s Day to every mom who has shown up for their child on one of the biggest days of their life. We see you in every quiet moment behind the scenes and every proud look from across the room.

Being trusted to plan and coordinate these celebrations means we get a front row seat to some of the most tender moments between parents and their children. It never gets old.

To all the moms in our community, today is yours. 🌸

Dark botanicals, scalloped chargers with black trim, burgundy velvet napkins tied with a black ribbon and a ruffle cake that belongs in a different era entirely. 🖤

This Doctor’s House reception was a masterclass in moody, intentional design. Every element on the table had a reason to be there. The anthurium leaves adding drama and structure to the florals, the film photography capturing the warmth of candlelight in a way that digital simply cannot replicate and a colour palette that committed fully and never wavered.

When a couple has a clear vision and trusts the process, this is what’s possible. A room that doesn’t just look beautiful but actually feels like something. ✨

If this is the kind of wedding you’re dreaming of, the link to inquire is in our bio.
