I'm almost done moving out of the "7 Labatt" studio! The building owner got foreclosed on, so I feel like a rat scurrying out ASAP-style. The new studio space at ArtHubs is much smaller, but my craft is bursting through the seams of my home studio set up. I will just have to make do with what the city core offers. If you keep us in great business tho I may just grab a bigger space again 😏

The upside of ArtHubs is proximity, and cleanliness - the tap water is actually reliably drinkable and the air is fresh 😆 With floor to ceiling windows, the space is much brighter too! But I will miss the grungeyness of a real artist loft that lets me spray paint and caustic glue indoors.

Ideally I'd have a single 1000sqft studio at home of course that'd be pretty baller! One can always dream!

Not just helmet wigs in the future??

I went AWOL this week so I can learn proper wig making and styling from ! Sewing has always been my strongest suit and creative crutch, so having guidance in another artform is helping me break my rigid design mindset.

I'll be back in my studio by Monday February 23rd!

2 requests for Ghostface replica robes came in on the same week - one for made out of Lurex fabric, another in 6XL to be made of polyester jersey fabric.

It's a common misconception that these are simple to make, as there are a lot of internal structures in the hood to keep its shape and there are oft-ignored tight gathers around the neck that are sewn on, not drawstrings gathered.
