It's really hard to fathom how this could happen in this day and age. Old prejudices appear to die hard. Please share to raise awareness.

For those that are going to Nuit Blanche "Trimonic" promises to be one of the coolest most hippest musical installations going. Perfectly positioned just west of Roy Thompson Hall in David Pecaut Square (55 John Street), Mint Music's live sound and studio team has been working on this all week. Sing and play cool instruments and be showered with light and sound from 12 foot tall pyramids. Check out the Find A Way/Mint Music link below for more details on Stefan Verstappen's "Trimonic" Installation. Hope to see you there.

A cross between an alien artefact and an ancient occult ritual, this installation requires viewers to enter a black pyramid and sing or play an instrument. Three 12-foot-tall black triangular pyramids give the piece a futuristic ambiance. The inner white curves designate a circle that invites the vi…

This is the message the world needs to hear.

The two great ecological challenges of our times are biodiversity erosion and climate change. And both are interconnected, in their causes and their solutions. Industrial agiculture is the biggest contributor to biodiversity erosion as well as to climate change. According to the United Nations, 93%…

When Nestle takes our water they should pay a fair price for it. Every day our governments here in Ontario and BC give our water away to large companies like Nestle for peanuts. This water is a shared resource that belongs to every Canadian and Nestle should compensate communities fairly for the water that they take. Exhausting an aquifer that took millions of years to create is criminal. Nestle is a non-living corporate entity that will not be affected with the negative repercussions of their actions - we and future generations are the ones that will suffer.

Its time to stand up to companies like Nestle and demand that they pay their fair share for water - the earth's most precious resource. If Nestle actually paid a fair price for the water they use they would likely conserve and protect it more. Its time to bring environmental ethics and sustainability home to Nestle in a big way. Please share and raise your voice and demand change from Nestle and your Government.

And the government is helping make it happen.

Over the last few months, we've been working to get Canada's iconic brand to do the right thing and protect tigers and the rainforest. But Tim Hortons is still refusing to roll up its sleeves and release a sustainable palm oil policy that protects tigers, local communities and the planet.

Already, over 80,000 of us have signed petitions to Tim Horton's executives urging them to do the right thing. And hundreds of us submitted amazing 'tiger selfies' encouraging Timmies to protect tigers.

But instead of buckling down, Timmies is still refusing to protect tigers, orangutans, elephants, local communities and the planet. But here's something we know: Timmies is incredibly vulnerable to pressure right now following its sell-off to a Brazilian investment fund. While major layoffs rock the company, Timmies is trying to recover this bad press with its biggest Roll Up The Rim To Win marketing campaign to date. Let's put Timmies in the spotlight now to make sure it does the right thing.

Can you tell Timmies to stop dragging its heels and finally release its overdue palm oil policy now? - Sum Of Us

There are only 400 Sumatran tigers left in the wild -- and the longer that Tim Hortons drags its feet on sourcing responsible palm oil, the closer these tigers edge towards extinction.
