It's 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨 here's to US 💖

Personally, I've never worked so hard at anything like I do in my marriage. Gathering the courage to face things with my husband isn't always easy or straightforward and I constantly question whether we will be forever. Marriage is hard, and you know my slogan...amazing relationships don't just happen..

One thing I'm certain of is when the love is real, maintained and celebrated, working through the challenges, making the sacrifices, and finding ways to build your dreams becomes your most important effort day to day.

Kids grow, careers change, we get and lose people and things...and the damn gray hairs 😒 but if we can find a way to make it all work...the joy of having your best friend by your side will make all those years of nearly killing *him* so very worth it. 😉

A good friend once told me the best way to keep and have a good relationship was to treat it like your best job, and that good communication was the key to getting all the perks you could possibly want.

1. No matter how capable you are at your job on your own, your successes are usually never just your own effort. It's the team that makes the dream.

2. Even when you've already called in late, you still offer apologies when you make it in.

3. No matter how rough the task gets, you keep at it until you're satisfied you've done everything you can to make things work.

4. When you need something to make you better in your role, be transparent and ask. Your desire to achieve will be noted.

5. Lastly, if you don't speak out, your needs are forgotten and wants will be unmet. Ever tried to ask for a raise AFTER your review is finished???

Now just imagine if we put in as much effort into our relationships at home. Communication is just one of the critical pieces to a successful union, but it sure is important. Like game-changing important.

Gone, but never forgotten. My clients lost their Father, but we celebrated him in ways they never expected. Pictures galore and candles lit by all in attendance. A sad occasion, but an absolutely beautiful night.

Been a rough start to the year but thankful to have my real OG's helping me find balance and peace within the chaos. Always surprising that those you think should be there are no where to be found, yet others will come round and remind you of your value.

A looney never has to argue with a penny on who's got more weight. Why should you?

Never let your value be predicated on someone else's opinion or judgment. Life is far too short snd we are here to live 💗

My partner in crime is in the homeland this holiday and my son is with Nana. So it's me and my mini, grinching it up in Ottawa, celebrating family, food and great times!

It's not always a 'happy' occasion, but I'm always going to do whatever I can to make sure the experience, and memories made are beyond what you expect. This event was a family affair. My family to theirs. And it was amazing 🙂 more pics to come!
