In the beginning of the 1800’s, the folds in a chef’s hat symbolized the number of recipes a chef had specialized for a given food. 🥣You were a master chef if your chef’s hat had 100 pleats. Also, the taller your hat, the more you knew. 🍴

These days we do not wear a tall hat or special attire to show others how much experience we have.
