WELCOME TO FASHION REVOLUTION WEEK 2024 📣

Today is the first official day of and this year’s theme is How to be a Fashion Revolutionary. Inspired by a decade of learnings and impact as a global, people-powered movement, we will mark ten years of active campaigning with ten days of action, and invite our global community to share what it means to be a part of the revolution. We will hear from the community builders, creative thinkers and organisers to guide the next generation of Fashion Revolutionaries, and explore fashion’s role in driving social and environmental justice.

Everyone has a part to play in building a fashion industry that puts people and planet first, but getting started can seem daunting. Join us as we celebrate ten years of Fashion Revolution and redefine what fashion activism looks like for the future.

Throughout the week we’ll be sharing ways to get involved and take action; from meeting the Fashion Revolutionaries around the world to participating in our global day of action on 20th April 🧵✨

TO Families for Palestine presents...
**A Kite Flying Gathering 4 Gaza** on Sunday April 14th at Riverdale Park in East-Toronto
A family and kid-friendly event in Tkaronto ~ come fly kites in honour of the children in Gaza.
Time: 12noon to 2 pm
Where: Riverdale Park (meet at the Riverdale East Bodyweight Exercise Equipment Area)
FYI, light snacks and juice boxes and a basic first aid kit will be on-site, along with a blanketed area with some arts & crafts supplies.

Organizers ask attendees to please remember to:
- Bring your own kite(s)
- You may also want to bring signs, snacks, bubbles, water bottles, and blankets for sitting on
- If you’d like to make a financial contribution to the event supplies

Woot! Secret Planet Print Shop is turning 3 and they're hosting a celebration/sale from 11-7 this Saturday Oct 22nd. Expect free treats, some free East-End prints, discounts and other cool stuff.
NOTE: Secret Planet is now located at 918 Danforth Ave. (close to Donlands subway station (they moved from their old spot on Coxwell).

Attention: Creatives, people who want to learn to hand sew or mend and makers/sewists who might benefit from a refresher… 👇👇

Join us on Wednesday, October 26 (4 - 5:30 pm EST) for this month's Sustainable Textile Teach-in.

Hosted over Zoom, our Education Coordinator Allie Davis will walk you through the basics of hand-sewing, from basic stitches to button-holes and more. All skill levels and ages are welcome – No prior experience necessary! Registration is required.

Thanx for your messages & well-wishes - after a long stretch of pandemic pauses, some traumatic growth & a few inspired pivots, we're resurfacing here on FB. Still, posts may be sporadic. Nathalie-Roze is currently in production mode - doing some wholesale & custom work and also in graduate school. As the seasons shift, *Toque Season* soon begins again (don't be sad). N-R will hopefully be sharing some new designs here or on Etsy/Insta and also sharing about local eco & maker events as well as creatives you might like to know about, plus some other projects percolating too. This may be more likely in the Spring. Meanwhile, we hope you're doing well in these still strange times and managed to squeeze out the last few drops of summer. Of course, autumn has its own charms -- we're looking forward to crisp sunny days ahead, leaves morphing into fiery hues, Chai lattes and the onset of cozy sweater, toque & boot weather.
Watch for a few new upcycled cashmere and denim designs from coming soon...
