These past five weeks I have been moving through an inner landscape, unravelling old stories and discovering a clearer truth of who I am as a spirit and as an artist. What I know is artists feel things deeply, and it is through this depth that our music allows others to feel something just as deep when they listen.
Something inside me is beginning to arrive at a new understanding that feels aligned with who I am as an artist.
One of the places I have struggled is showing more of the darkness in my work, and acknowledging that life is not only the angelic and ethereal expressions. But that darkness exists too, and that the path is learning how to find peace within both, how to let light and shadow coexist.
These past few weeks I explored the archetype of the dark feminine, and while there is a dark feminine pulse within me, I am not here to embody the dark. I am here to hold light and to guide others as they move through their darkness and into their light.
We are all things at once.
I choose balance.
I choose Yin Yang harmony.
I choose samatva.
