Hello world, I don’t think we’ve officially met!
I’m Louise, of Seasons of Lou, a WPIC certified wedding planner and a 2022 bride, and yes, you guessed it, I’m definitely planning my own wedding! We’re 36 days away (!!!) and it’s been a wild ride since day 1, so I thought it might be fun to document the journey so I have something to look back on once the big day has come and gone. I’ll be posting some of my tips and tricks for planning a wedding on a budget, some wedding traditions that we’re deciding to leave in the past, a few sneak peeks and fun content from my current wedding projects, and everything in between.
So, first things first, why did I want to become a wedding planner?
After finishing a French Studies major, I found myself having a quarter-life crisis when my job made me feel like I could be doing so much more in life, but not knowing what the heck to do next. On top of that, I had been a bridesmaid in a few weddings and I found myself to be more involved in the planning and organizing process, but didn’t go any further than that. A few years later, a friend, who worked for a wedding magazine at the time, asked me to join her at a work conference, and from then on, I realized that I could do wedding planning for real, on the side, and help my friends, and other future brides, make their wedding dreams possible.
So here I am now, ready to help brides celebrate this exciting season of life!
