There’s a lot of pre-production that goes into filming a wedding but if I’m perfectly honestly, our favourite shots aren’t planned. There’s a lot we can’t control on a wedding day, like when the setting sun backlights the dance floor so perfectly that Dennis whisper-yells at me to grab the bride and groom while he sets up the camera for our favourite shots of the day.
We always tell our couples that we’ll be shooting on the fly and the more game they are for our crazy ideas, the better the film will be. They can absolutely say no, we’d rather finish our salads right now, but we’d have missed out on this magical moment.
