From “I Do” to “We Still Do” – 30 Years of Love

Some love stories stay with you forever… and this one is especially close to my heart. 💜

Thirty years ago, I had the honour of doing a reading at my aunt and uncle’s wedding—witnessing the very beginning of their life together, filled with love, hope, and possibility.
And now, three decades later, I am beyond honoured to stand with them again… this time officiating their vow renewal in beautiful Calabria.

To witness a love that has not only lasted, but deepened, softened, strengthened, and endured through the years… is something truly sacred.
Their journey is a reminder that love isn’t just about the moment you say “I do”—
it’s about choosing each other again and again…
through every season, every challenge, every joy.
And today, they say it once more…
“I still do.”
What a gift to celebrate this milestone not only as an officiant—but as family. My heart is so full.

I’m excited to share a meaningful step in my spiritual journey. 💜

Very soon, I will be a Lay Pastoral Minister with the Community Catholic Church of Canada. This next step in my ministry will allow me to continue supporting people during life’s sacred moments with compassion, inclusivity, and love.

Once I am officially commissioned, I will also be able to offer Baptisms, in addition to the weddings, vow renewals, commitment ceremonies, and celebrations of life I already officiate.

It is such an honour to walk alongside individuals and families during these meaningful milestones. I truly believe that love is love, and everyone deserves ceremonies that reflect their story, their faith, and their love.

Over the past while I’ve been reflecting on how I can bring even more intention, calm, and connection into the ceremonies I create for couples. As a pastoral chaplain, yoga teacher, and Reiki practitioner, holding sacred space has always been at the heart of my work.

In a world that often seems determined to spread hate and keep us divided, I was gently reminded yesterday that love truly is all around us. While performing a small, intimate weekday wedding, I witnessed the sweetest moment: the groom lovingly wiped away a tear from his bride’s cheek as she struggled to say her vows. That tender gesture spoke volumes—if we stay open and present, we can always find love shining through.
