Itβs a fair question and one we were recently asked while delivering to a local event.
Even when weβre already headed to a certain venue or town, each additional order still adds time, care, and behind-the-scenes work to our delivery process.
Every arrangement is individually loaded into our van with care and secured so blooms arrive looking exactly as they should. More arrangements means more loading time, more configuration, and more attention to detail to make sure nothing is damaged in transit.
Then thereβs the delivery itself - fuel, vehicle maintenance, staffing, multiple stops, unloading, carrying arrangements into venues, funeral homes, memorials and event spaces.
For funerals and memorials especially, we prefer to handle setup ourselves whenever possible so we can ensure everything looks perfect before we leave.
Delivery fees help cover all of those moving pieces that happen long before flowers even arrive.
And despite all of that, weβre still happy to offer free delivery within the town of Tilbury.
