Did you know the most requested drink of the night is not a beer, not a cooler, or a cocktail?!

It's Coffee!!

After dinner or late in the evening people are wanting that little pick me up, and more often than not it is not thought of to offer the guests.

I am just wondering if a self-serve coffee station is something we should offer - It would include coffee, disposable cups, sugar, and creamer.

If we did have this service - what would be better? A large 30 cup urn or single serve coffee pods?

I would love to know people thoughts 😀

What a summer. 🤍🥂

Summer wedding season gave us a little bit of everything.

We served up delicious cocktails, poured champagne, baked potatoes, warmed up pots of chili, and kept the drinks flowing. We watched beer boys take the place of flower girls, celebrated a Riverboat Days wedding that literally started with a bang 💥, and a wedding that ended with the bride and groom enjoying potato chips with friends around the table.

And somewhere in between all of that were the little details. Fresh mint, dehydrated garnishes, personalized signature drinks, beautiful sunsets, hilarious wedding parties, and those moments that you just can’t plan.

One of my favourite things about The Bucking Bar is that we don’t just show up and serve drinks. For a few hours, we get invited into one of the biggest days of someone’s life. We get to see the nerves before the ceremony, hear the speeches, watch everyone hit the dance floor, and sometimes even help make sure the baked potatoes are hot. 😂

To every couple who trusted us to be part of their wedding this summer, thank you. 🤍 We truly love getting to be part of these memories.

Another beautiful day behind the bar at Hidden Acres. 🤍

This time, the groom was in charge of the menu… and he definitely raised the bar. 🍸

With a variety of simple syrups, shaken cocktails, and a menu that kept us moving, making tequila sunrises, daiquiris and whiskey sours was an absolute blast. I couldn’t help but sing “Shake it like a Polaroid picture” in my head more than a few times while shaking cocktails all evening. Even better, the wedding happened to fall on the weekend of National Daiquiri Day, couldn’t have planned it any better!

To finish the drinks, we used dehydrated citrus garnishes that we made ourselves, along with the cutest little critter fruit skewers. It couldn’t have been more fitting for this couple, who have opened their hearts and home to foster more than 350 animals. That number alone tells you everything you need to know about the kind of people they are.

I’ve said it before, but bartending isn’t just about pouring drinks for me. I love noticing and remembering the little details of the day, the ones that can become a blur for the couple once the excitement is over. If I can help preserve a few of those moments for them to look back on, then I’ve done more than just serve cocktails.

Charlotte’s first invite of the year. 🤍🍾

All week the forecast called for rain, but somehow it held off just long enough to give us the most beautiful day for a wedding at Lakelse Lake.

One of the things I love most about bartending is that we get a front-row seat to some of life’s biggest moments. We get to watch old friends reunite, new friendships form, families grow, and hear all the stories that made the couple who they are today.

There was excitement from the very beginning right through to the last dance. We poured 150 glasses of champagne to celebrate the ceremony before spending the day serving Aperol Spritzes and Paradise Mules. Once the dance floor filled up, we kept the party going with Burt Reynolds shots. 🍾🍊🥂🥃

To kick off the celebration, we also put together 12 feet of graze boards for cocktail hour, keeping everyone happily snacking while they celebrated.

The vows were heartfelt, the speeches were beautiful, and the fireworks lit up the night. But if you ask me, the highlight had to be the bride grabbing the mic and rapping Nicki Minaj in the middle of the dance floor. 🎤✨

It’s moments like these that remind me why I do what I do. Bartending isn’t just about pouring drinks, it’s about being part of the memories, celebrating alongside incredible people, and helping create a day they’ll never forget.

✨ Our first wedding of the season is officially in the books! ✨

There’s no better way to kick off wedding season than at our favourite venue, Hidden Acres. 🤍

Not every wedding needs signature cocktails to be unforgettable. This sweet couple knew that the people, the moments, and the memories would be more than enough to make their day special. They were absolutely right.

From their adorable dogs being part of the celebration, to the groom’s sister making the most delicious cake pops (we’re still thinking about them 😍), to the young girls in the family playing such a special role in the ceremony... every detail reflected who they are, and it made for such a meaningful day.

At The Bucking Bar, bartending has never been just about pouring drinks. It’s about taking care of the hosts and their guests so everyone can relax, celebrate, and be fully present for the moments that matter most.

This wedding also included our post-dinner cleanup service. While everyone enjoyed the evening, we cleared the dinner tables, recorked the wine bottles, and washed all the wine glasses and water goblets; taking one more task off the wedding party’s shoulders so they could simply enjoy the night.

Congratulations to the newlyweds, and thank you for letting us be a small part of such a beautiful celebration. Here’s to a season full of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. 🥂
