🍂 And just like that, another wedding season has come to an end! 🍂

As summer turned to fall and we wrapped up our final weddings of the year, we couldn’t help but look back on all the incredible memories made, the laughs shared, and the celebrations we were lucky enough to be part of.

This season was one for the books!

Charlotte got an invitation to a wedding at the lake, where she fit right in with the beautiful scenery. We witnessed weddings where the entire family held down the dance floor, dancing their hearts out right until the very last song. And we got to be part of a wedding that ended with its very own mini festival, Glambhala, a tribute to the couple’s love of festivals and a celebration that was truly their own.

Every wedding had its own personality, its own special touches, and its own unforgettable moments.

And while all those memories were being made, we were behind the bar making sure the drinks kept flowing!

From the signature cocktails and handcrafted garnishes to all the little details that often go unnoticed, we put so much love and care into making each bar experience special. The work starts long before the first drink is poured, and there’s nothing we love more than seeing it all come together.

But what really makes this job special isn’t just the beautiful venues, the creative cocktails, or even the celebrations themselves. It’s the people.

To every bride and groom who trusted The Bucking Bar to be part of one of the biggest days of your lives, thank you. We know how much thought, planning, and love goes into a wedding, and it means so much to us that you chose to include us.

And to all the wedding guests, thank you for the laughs, the conversations, the dance floor entertainment, and for making us feel like part of the celebration rather than just the people behind the bar. You have no idea how much that means to us!

We may be there to serve the drinks, but we leave with memories of our own.

A little behind-the-scenes at The Bucking Bar!

Wedding day might be when you see us in action, but our work starts long before we ever step behind the bar!

From planning cocktail menus and preparing homemade syrups to dehydrating fruit and creating unique garnishes, there are hours (and sometimes days!) of preparation that go into making sure every little detail is just right.

These beauties are called Pear Glass, and they take hours to create! They’re delicate, beautiful, and just one example of the extra touches we love bringing to our cocktails.

Because for us, bartending isn’t just about pouring drinks. It’s about the creativity, the presentation, and all those little details that make your special day even more memorable.

The magic happens at the bar, but the work starts long before. 🥂

Did you know the most requested drink of the night is not a b**r, not a cooler, or a cocktail?!

It's Coffee!!

After dinner or late in the evening people are wanting that little pick me up, and more often than not it is not thought of to offer the guests.

I am just wondering if a self-serve coffee station is something we should offer - It would include coffee, disposable cups, sugar, and creamer.

If we did have this service - what would be better? A large 30 cup urn or single serve coffee pods?

I would love to know people thoughts 😀

What a summer. 🤍🥂

Summer wedding season gave us a little bit of everything.

We served up delicious cocktails, poured ch*****ne, baked potatoes, warmed up pots of chili, and kept the drinks flowing. We watched b**r boys take the place of flower girls, celebrated a Riverboat Days wedding that literally started with a bang 💥, and a wedding that ended with the bride and groom enjoying potato chips with friends around the table.

And somewhere in between all of that were the little details. Fresh mint, dehydrated garnishes, personalized signature drinks, beautiful sunsets, hilarious wedding parties, and those moments that you just can’t plan.

One of my favourite things about The Bucking Bar is that we don’t just show up and serve drinks. For a few hours, we get invited into one of the biggest days of someone’s life. We get to see the nerves before the ceremony, hear the speeches, watch everyone hit the dance floor, and sometimes even help make sure the baked potatoes are hot. 😂

To every couple who trusted us to be part of their wedding this summer, thank you. 🤍 We truly love getting to be part of these memories.

Another beautiful day behind the bar at Hidden Acres. 🤍

This time, the groom was in charge of the menu… and he definitely raised the bar. 🍸

With a variety of simple syrups, shaken cocktails, and a menu that kept us moving, making tequila sunrises, daiquiris and wh***ey sours was an absolute blast. I couldn’t help but sing “Shake it like a Polaroid picture” in my head more than a few times while shaking cocktails all evening. Even better, the wedding happened to fall on the weekend of National Daiquiri Day, couldn’t have planned it any better!

To finish the drinks, we used dehydrated citrus garnishes that we made ourselves, along with the cutest little critter fruit skewers. It couldn’t have been more fitting for this couple, who have opened their hearts and home to foster more than 350 animals. That number alone tells you everything you need to know about the kind of people they are.

I’ve said it before, but bartending isn’t just about pouring drinks for me. I love noticing and remembering the little details of the day, the ones that can become a blur for the couple once the excitement is over. If I can help preserve a few of those moments for them to look back on, then I’ve done more than just serve cocktails.
